Above and below: Xu Jia Hui. This is where we live. The picture above has been taken some years ago (but not that long ago), and below is how Xu Jia Hui and the very same roundabout looked last night when I took some shots:
Below: View from our front door. In the tower on the right is the building our office is located in. Not horribly far away...
Below: View from our balcony. I think this demonstrates the various faces of Shanghai, and how they are limited to each other. Other side of our apartment building is a huge mall (several mall, actually) with all the brands, and almost anything you might need. On the other side are... other kind of apartment buildings... (on the upper left corner is a building similar to ours)
Close-up of our neighbour
Third angel: new metro line in building
I mentioned a local hais saloon awhile back.. well here it is. (This is the one we have NOT tried.)
Below: Sorry about the quality of the next pictures, we left the camera home, and had to rely on good'al Nokia multidevice, aka. cell phone, again.
Shanghai World Tower, 490 meters, not yet open. Pretty darn tall building. Look carefully, and you can see that there is a "whole" in the building (almost at the top)...
... and you can see the red cicrle, right? Those small smutts in it are people. Standing there on the edge.
